The amount of military aid to Ukraine from the United States has exceeded 20 billion dollars - the Pentagon

The amount of military aid given to Ukraine by the United States since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia has exceeded 20 billion dollars. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said this during a press conference with Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.

"To date, we have provided Ukraine with more than $20 billion in military aid. And we've talked about it before, and we're saying it now: we'll continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary," Austin said.

The head of the Pentagon noted that the US will help Ukraine until it returns its territories, which are currently under Russian occupation. According to Austin, the weapons provided by the United States significantly affect the success of the Ukrainian army in the war.

According to CNN, with the onset of winter, the United States began to report a shortage of some ammunition and high-precision weapons systems that were previously transferred to Ukraine to fight Russian aggression.

During the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein-7), Lloyd Austin said that the USA and its allies will strengthen the defense of Ukraine during the winter.
