The Ministry of Economy told which public works involved the unemployed

More than 1,300 unemployed people have been involved in performing socially useful works in six regions within the framework of the "Recovery Army" project. They do physical work. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

 

 According to the press service, the unemployed work in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Poltava and Rivne regions. In the near future, they will be joined by the Volyn and Zaporizhzhya regions, where the list of enterprises organizing such works, their types and the number of people needed for their implementation will be agreed upon.

 

 To date, the largest number of unemployed people have been recruited in Sumy region - 519 people, as well as Kyiv region - 311 people, Poltava region - 177 people, Chernihiv region - 176 people. UAH 6.2 million have already been transferred to employees from the state budget for the performance of socially useful works.

 

 The types of socially necessary works depend on the needs of a particular region. Most often, people are involved in such jobs:

 

 strengthening dams, clearing the coast near reservoirs and rivers;

 

 harvesting firewood for the population;

 

 unloading of humanitarian aid;

 

 arrangement of basements in high-rise buildings, schools for shelter;

 

 repair and restoration works in the premises of the social sphere;

 

 restoration and beautification of cities;

 

 liquidation of spontaneous landfills and arrangement of solid household waste landfills;

 

 carrying out repair and restoration works (first of all, works that are performed at the objects of ensuring the vital activities of communities).

 

 We would like to remind that participation in socially useful works by the unemployed is voluntary and is paid at a level not lower than the minimum wage, which currently amounts to UAH 6,700. In addition, the payment of labor for the performance of such works can be additionally financed from regional budgets.
