Norway will provide almost $14 million for the EU mission to train the Ukrainian military

Norway will provide about NOK 150 million ($13.7 million) to support the EU's training mission for Ukrainian servicemen. This is stated in the statement of the Norwegian government.

"Ukraine depends on the support of other countries, not least to obtain enough weapons and materials to resist the Russian war. Norway has provided significant support and will continue to contribute by providing military materials," the statement said.

"For Norwegian and European security, it is important that Russia does not win the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian forces are fighting an important battle for democracy and justice," Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said.

Norway is also financing part of Estonia's donation to a field hospital for Ukraine, as well as handing over five military medical buses.
