The capacity deficit in the Ukrainian power system decreased to 25% on Saturday morning, compared to 30% on Friday evening, reports NEC "Ukrenergo".

 "Energy workers continue to restore the power system. As of 11:00 a.m., one more nuclear unit has been put into operation, and the capacity of the others is increasing to the planned level. Thus, electricity producers are now covering about 75% of consumption needs," the NEC said in a statement.

 At the same time, another 25% of electricity remains in deficit, so on Saturday, the consumption restriction regime is in effect throughout the territory of Ukraine.

 "Ukrenergo" also notes that the company no longer determines which types of shutdowns - emergency or planned - will be applied, it is decided by oblenergo.

 "Now we have changed our tactics, and we are not telling Oblenergo how many megawatts to limit consumption in each oblast, but on the contrary, what is the limit of consumption in the oblast," - said the head of the operator, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.

 That is, oblenergo dispatchers receive a consumption indicator for the region, which cannot be exceeded. And the disconnection scheme, which will allow compliance with the established consumption norm, is drawn up by each regional energy company independently.

 "Now, every Ukrainian whose home has received electricity can help restore it to others faster, simply by consuming electricity sparingly. This will allow less restrictions to be applied to prevent accidents, and will also allow energy workers to focus on repairing damaged facilities on which power depends entire regions", - summed up in "Ukrenergo".
