Ukraine is counting on the complete disconnection of Russian banks from SWIFT in the new package of sanctions

Ukraine expects that the EU will introduce restrictions against the banking sector in the ninth package of anti-Russian sanctions, as well as restrict the entry of Russians. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Telegram.

 

 During a meeting with foreign ministers of the Baltic and Northern European countries, who arrived in Ukraine, the head of government discussed sanctions against Russia.

 

 "In the 9th package of sanctions, we count on a complete disconnection of Russian banks from SWIFT and a ban on entry into the EU of citizens of a terrorist state," Shmyhal said.

 

 He added that during the meeting with the ministers, he also discussed further military, financial assistance and the energy sector, which is suffering from Russian shelling.
