The US is focused on helping Ukraine to return the territories occupied by Russia after February 24.

 US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this at The Wall Street Journal WSJ CEO Summit.

 "We are focused on what we are already doing: making sure that Ukraine has the means to defend itself, so that it can repel Russian aggression, return the territories that were taken after February 24," he said.

 Blinken added that the United States also supports Ukraine in economic and humanitarian terms.

 Position of Ukraine

 The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly stated that Ukraine's task is to return to the internationally recognized borders of 1991.

 Thus, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, ruled out any concessions from Russia that would relate to territorial integrity. In particular, it is impossible to give up Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

 Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the NSDC, emphasized that any compromises with the Kremlin would only postpone the war for the future, so the goal of Ukraine is complete de-occupation up to the 1991 borders.

 Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov stated that the only territorial "compromise" with Russia is the withdrawal of Ukraine at the turn of 1991.

 Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba emphasized that Ukraine's ultimate goal is the borders of 1991, not February 23.

 US position

 At the same time, the States always emphasize that Ukraine will decide on which borders to stop and when to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia.

 Thus, US President Joe Biden stated that the decision on peace negotiations should be made by Ukraine. The states are not going to start any negotiations with Russia without the corresponding decision of the country itself.

 The USA also stated that it does not push Ukraine to negotiate with the Russian Federation, it itself determines the terms and dates.
