The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielus Landsbergis, called on all European countries to expel Russian ambassadors. Keeping Russian ambassadors in Europe, according to the minister, is now practically pointless. Verslo Zinios writes about it.

 "In most cases, it is no longer a diplomatic institution, but a propaganda institution that covers up war crimes and generally promotes a genocidal agenda," Landsbergis said at a press conference with the foreign ministers of the Baltic states and Poland in Riga.

 Landsbergis noted that Lithuania expelled the Russian ambassador in April last year in response to alleged war crimes committed by the Russian army in Buch. In January, Estonia and Latvia expelled Russian ambassadors.

 At the same time, the diplomat admitted that there are different points of view regarding the expulsion of Russian ambassadors.

 In January, Russia lowered the level of diplomatic relations with Estonia and demanded that the ambassador leave the country. The level of the diplomatic mission was reduced to a temporary chargé d'affaires. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia reported that this measure was a response to the "radical reduction in the number of the Russian embassy in Tallinn", which was called an "unfriendly step". The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia responded in kind.

 As a sign of solidarity with Estonia and because of the war, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia announced the reduction of diplomatic relations with Russia. The countries announced mutual expulsion of ambassadors.
