NATO countries have provided Ukraine with about 120 billion dollars in aid for the year

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's annual report, released Tuesday, provides an estimate of the total amount of aid member states have provided to Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.

"After the invasion, NATO member states provided unprecedented support to Ukraine, allocating about $120 billion in military, humanitarian and financial aid in 2022," the document says.

It states that the largest donor of aid to Ukraine is the United States, but European countries and Canada collectively provided more than half of the total amount of aid; in addition, the European members of the Alliance accepted almost five million refugees from Ukraine.

As the document emphasizes, the Russia-led full-scale war against Ukraine is "the biggest security crisis in Europe since World War II" and a direct threat to the existence of the entire rules-based international order.

"Putin must not win. If he does, it will show that aggression works and that force is rewarded. It would be dangerous for our own security and for the whole world," the annual report of the NATO Secretary General emphasizes.

At the beginning of March, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that the total cost of aid provided to Ukraine by the Allies of the Alliance during a full-scale war is about 150 billion euros.

Probably, that sum also included aid from states that cooperate with NATO, but are not its members - for example, Sweden and Finland.
