The head of the European Council assured Moldova of his support

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, assured the Moldovan government that Chisinau can count on the full support of the EU in the face of Russian military aggression.

During an official visit to Moldova on Tuesday, Charles Michel announced that the European Union had provided the country with more than a billion euros in aid. According to Charles Michel, Brussels is preparing a new aid package for Moldova.

He also announced the possible start of negotiations regarding the accession of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to the EU in December. This was reported by Euronews TV channel.

"Moldova is a candidate country for joining the EU, this is a historic opportunity for your country and your people. And I am absolutely sure that this opportunity should be used and it will be done. Russia continues to attack the free people of Ukraine and Moldova has suffered greatly due to Russia's war against Ukraine. You are increasingly becoming a target of Russian military intelligence," said Charles Michel.
