The McFaul-Yermak international working group on sanctions against Russia presented a new action plan with the aim of further increasing the sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation - Action Plan 2.0.

 

 This was announced by the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak in Telegram.

 

 According to him, the group's documents are currently on the desks of all world leaders and everyone involved in sanctions. The work of the group is the basis of more than 70% of the sanctions implemented and implemented by the USA, EU, Great Britain and other countries.

 

 As reported, thanks to the work of the group, an embargo on Russian oil and oil products, price restrictions on them, full blocking sanctions against approximately 20 of the largest Russian banks, and the Russian Federation was deprived of all rights in the FATF were introduced.

 

 In addition, an unprecedentedly wide list of dual-purpose goods was subject to trade restrictions, individual sanctions were imposed on thousands of people from various spheres, and a coordination mechanism for the implementation of "Big Seven" sanctions was created.

 

 "We are waiting for the new powerful sanctions packages provided for in the new sanctions plan. Ukraine is waiting for the inclusion of Russian propagandists who support aggression against Ukraine in the next sanctions packages. It is important to introduce sanctions against Russian athletes, who the aggressor country uses as a tool to propagate its war ", Yermak reported.

 

He also added that it is important to further introduce sanctions against the energy complex of the Russian Federation and the defense industry, limit the use of financial instruments, the issue of confiscation of assets of the Central Bank of Russia and their subsequent transfer to Ukraine, as well as other areas reflected in the action plan.

 

 In particular, the action plan proposes the following strengthening of sanctions:

 

 Lowering the oil price ceiling to $45 per barrel of crude oil with a target of $30 per barrel.

 

 Strengthening control over compliance with the limit prices for oil.

 

 Introduction of a tax on the import of Russian oil and gas to the countries of the sanctions coalition.

 

 Termination of direct supplies of Russian gas to the European Union, except through Ukraine.

 

 Creation of a reserve gas buffer in Ukraine. Embargo on Russian energy in East Asia.

 

 Sanctions against all Russian oil and gas companies, as well as sanctions against Gazprombank.

 

 Imposition of full taxation on Western oil and gas companies remaining in Russia.

 

 Blocking Russia's access to Western oil and gas services.

 

 Sanctions against Russian oil service companies.
