The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, is convinced that sooner or later the Western allies will make a decision to provide Ukraine with Western F-16 fighter jets, as was the case with all other types of weapons.

 He said this in an interview with 1+1.

 Dmytro Kuleba noted that the decision on Western aircraft is a matter of time, and expressed regret that Ukraine will pay an additional price with people's lives for the hesitation of its allies.

 "There will be F-16s, it's a matter of time. I think it will depend on the decision of the US and the results of the counteroffensive," Kuleba said.

 According to him, this is one of the three priorities in terms of military support from allies - along with artillery shells and armored vehicles.

 "If we had F-16s now, our counteroffensive would have been much faster and we would have managed to save many more lives of our soldiers and civilians suffering from missile strikes," the foreign minister added.

 Dmytro Kuleba has been persuading partners that providing Ukraine with F-16s will deter Russia, not provoke it, and has further called for it in the wake of the April 28 missile attacks that killed 23 people in just one high-rise building in Uman.
