At the plenary session of the Supreme Court, the early termination of the powers of the head of the court Vsevolod Knyazev, who was arrested for a bribe of 2.7 million dollars, was supported.

 The Plenum of the Supreme Court expressed no confidence in the Chairman of the Supreme Court Knyazev and prematurely deprived him of the status of the Chairman of the Court. The decision was supported by 140 judges of the Supreme Court, two voted against.

 However, Knyazev will continue to have the status of a judge - only the Supreme Council of Justice can completely dismiss him from the judicial system.

 Until a new chairman is elected, his duties will be performed by the judge with the longest experience. Now it is Dmytro Dmytrovych Luspenyk.

 We will remind, earlier the judges initiated the expression of no confidence in Knyazev. The submission was signed by 138 judges out of 142 present. Later, a secret vote was held. After that, an organizing committee was created, which prepared a draft resolution of no confidence in the chairman VR. Dmytrovych.

 It will be recalled that the law enforcement officers exposed a corruption scheme in which the leadership of the Supreme Court participated. In particular, the head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Vsevolod Knyazev, was caught for a bribe of 2.7 million dollars.

 Today, the SAP confirmed the detention of Knyazev, and a suspicion is being prepared against him.
