Another associate of Yanukovych was suspected: his property worth millions was seized

The Security Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion to a former associate of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych. He now helps the occupiers and even received the position of "senator" of the occupied Zaporizhzhya region.

 "Investigators of the Security Service have collected evidence on another Yanukovych henchman, who is now helping the Russian Federation. It is about the former head of the State Registration Service of Ukraine, Dmytro Voron," the report says.

 

 On his own initiative, Vorona helped the Russians to form occupation administrations in the temporarily captured areas of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions. He was also an adviser to Gauleiter Yevhen Balytskyi.

 

 At the end of 2022, he even received a "promotion" from the occupation authorities - the position of so-called "senator" of the captured part of the Zaporizhzhya region.

 

 "In this 'position', he coordinated the seizure of Ukrainian enterprises in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya," the SSU said.

 

 Of the "remarkable" - it was Vorona, according to the agency, who prepared an appeal to the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about encouraging the occupiers and collaborators who helped the Kremlin in seizing the region with Russian state awards.

 

 On the initiative of the SSU, the court seized tens of millions of hryvnias on the property of the attacker. Among the arrested are apartments of the suspect in the center of Kyiv and in Myrhorod, a house with a total area of more than 300 square meters. m near Kyiv and 10 plots of land in the capital region.

 

 On the basis of the received evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed him of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (assistance to the aggressor state). The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison.
