Russia plans to ban the transit of Polish trucks

The Cabinet of Ministers of Russia announced that it is working on the issue of banning the passage of Polish trucks through the territory of the Russian Federation.

The press service of the Russian government informed the Russian agency "RIA Novosti" about this.

"The appeal of the State Duma on the prohibition of the transit of Polish trucks through Russian territory and the refueling of vehicles of Polish carriers at Russian retail fuel prices has been received," the press service of the Russian government reported.

Earlier, the speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, initiated a ban on the passage of Polish trucks through the territory of Russia. Later, Russian deputies at a meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation unanimously supported this initiative, which allegedly became Russia's response to the seizure of Russian diplomatic property and the destruction of Soviet monuments in Poland.

It will be recalled that earlier the Polish prosecutor's office transferred almost 800 thousand zlotys (194.3 thousand dollars) and more than 912 thousand dollars from the bank accounts of the trade representative of the Russian embassy to its own account, qualifying them as material evidence in its investigation.
