The former president of Georgia, Mykhailo Saakashvili, predicted the collapse of Russia. According to him, after the victory in the war with Russia, Ukraine will border Georgia somewhere in the area of Sochi.

  Saakashvili spoke about Tbilisi's relations with Kyiv and Moscow in a written interview with the "Droiba" program, which airs on the opposition TV channel "Formula".

  "In 2011, at the first stage, we opened visa-free travel for North Caucasians - then we had an active North Caucasian policy, we opened the First Caucasian TV channel and allowed a very limited number of Russian citizens...

  under the strict supervision of special services. Now it is a complete disaster, a very large number of saboteurs and intelligence groups have infiltrated [Georgia].

  And not only to control Georgia, but also to work from the territory of Georgia in the direction of Europe. Ukraine will certainly reach a turning point on the front, the West has decided to end Putin's regime, Russia will begin to disintegrate into simple multiples - first of all, this will begin with the North Caucasus.

  This process gives Georgia a chance to regain Abkhazia, but at the same time there will be threats of lekyanob (raids of the highlanders of the North Caucasus in the 16th-19th centuries, ed.) from the north... The only salvation is in the European Union and Ukraine. Everyone who is now blinded by black money from Russia or political goals, who is betting on Putin's Russia, is very seriously mistaken and will be completely defeated as a result," he said.

  Saakashvili added that his imprisonment is "from beginning to end an order of Russia."

  "The cases were raised after I became active in Ukraine in 2014 and became the governor of Odesa. Then Putin was furious, and even now they [Georgian authorities] are ignoring calls from Europe and Ukraine to release me and send me for treatment - precisely on Moscow's direct orders. The Kremlin does not hide this and scores points.

We had warm relations with Ukraine in the 90s as well, but the real rapprochement began after the "Rose Revolution", and after the "Rose Revolution" became a source of inspiration for the "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine, Poland also joined. Remember my son Nikush - he was baptized by Yushchenko and Kaczynski in the Church of the Holy Trinity... The concept of the Black Sea was created - in parallel with the disintegration of Russia, we were supposed to join the Baltic axis, Poland and Ukraine. These countries have a special interest in us, but in the conditions of oligarchic rule, no one will come close to Georgia. And then the violent Caucasian maelstrom can engulf the country...

 But one thing is clear to me, as clear as day: Russia no longer has a place in the international system, and next year such a country will cease to exist. Accordingly, the rulers in its orbit will also disappear. Georgia should prepare for the appearance of a common border with Ukraine, somewhere in the Sochi area. According to the program of Ukrainian nationalists, their border passes through the Caucasus, and after the victory in the war, they will not allow the further existence of Russia. Especially since they consider the Black Sea lands in the Kuban and all of Krasnodar to be their historical lands... Locals in the Kuban still speak Ukrainian," Saakashvili wrote.

 Mykhailo Saakashvili is 55 years old. He was the president of Georgia in 2004-2013, after which he left Georgia and received Ukrainian citizenship. In 2015, he was appointed the head of the Odesa regional state administration, in 2020 he became the head of the Executive Committee of Reforms of Ukraine.

 In 2018, the Georgian court convicted Mykhailo Saakashvili in absentia in the cases of amnesty for the accused in the death of Sandro Girgvliani and the beating of the former member of parliament Valery Gelashvili. The court found Mykhailo Saakashvili guilty of abuse and abuse of authority. He was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.

 In addition, criminal cases have been opened against the ex-president on charges of embezzlement of budget funds; the dispersal of actions on November 7, 2007, the pogrom at the "Imedi" television company and the seizure of the property of its owner, the late businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili.

 On October 20, 2021, the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia brought another charge against Saakashvili - illegal crossing of the state border. According to the investigation, at the end of September, Saakashvili secretly returned from Ukraine to Georgia in a trailer loaded with dairy products, which arrived by ship from the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk to the port of Poti.

Mykhailo Saakashvili calls all cases politically motivated. He has been in the Vivamed Tbilisi clinic for about a year, where he was transferred from prison after two hunger strikes. The family and lawyers claim that his condition is deteriorating, the authorities in response say that there is no cause for alarm and that Saakashvili is receiving all the necessary treatment.

 An independent examination announced the diagnoses threatening his life, as well as the detection of elevated doses of barium, bismuth and mercury in the body. According to an American psychiatrist, Saakashvili has rapidly progressing dementia and post-traumatic stress disorder.

 The Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze, said that the experts of the National Bureau of Forensic Examination confirmed the unreliability of the medical opinion of the "Empathy" center about the state of health of the ex-president of Georgia, Mykhailo Saakashvili.
