The top diplomat of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said that he does not feel optimistic about how the Russian-Ukrainian war will develop this summer.
He said this while speaking in Barcelona, reports CNN.
"I am not optimistic about what will happen in Ukraine this summer. I see the concentration of troops on both sides, I see the clear intention of Russia to win the war. "Russia will not go to negotiations if it does not win the war", - believes the head of European diplomacy.
According to SkyNews, Borrell suggested that the war will continue for now. He pointed out that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has assembled 300,000 occupiers in Ukraine, twice as many as there were when he launched the full-scale invasion.
He said that Moscow has a "huge" military presence and, as before, regularly attacks Ukraine.
We will remind you that near Bakhmut, the Russians reduced the pace of the attack, but strengthened the units.
