Duda: Putin hasn't lost the war yet, don't laugh at the tanks of the 1960s

Polish President Andrzej Duda warned against hasty statements about Russia's defeat in the war it started against Ukraine.

Duda said this in a conversation with Almar Latour, CEO of Dow Jones, publisher of The Wall Street Journal.

"Today it is said that Vladimir Putin has lost a war, and his defeat is that Finland joined NATO, although for many years the Finnish people have hesitated whether he should give up neutrality. Ladies and gentlemen, Vladimir Putin has not lost any war." - said the President of Poland.

He expressed hope that Putin will lose the war. However, Duda noted, "now we have a situation where the Russian rink is pressuring Ukraine, hundreds of people are dying at the front every day, while there are more than 100 million Russians, and less than 40 million Ukrainians."

"This difference alone shows who has the upper hand here. For Russians, human life means nothing, for Ukrainians every life is worth its weight in gold. These are different cultures. Russia is a nuclear superpower, it has huge stockpiles of weapons - and what about the fact that we laugh at the fact that it has been transporting tanks since the 1960s, when each tank weighs 50-60 tons. If it goes, it will crush, regardless of whether it is modern," said the Polish president.

Putin will lose the war when the Russian army is pushed beyond the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine, Duda is convinced.

"The war is going on, Russia is mobilizing more and more, the Russian economy is going on military tracks. Do not doubt, they are able to use propaganda to tell people that they should tighten their belts, and even if they are hungry, they should be proud because Russia is great." - added the President of Poland.
