The Russian Federation wants to take Ukrainian children to Crimea in order to "hide" with them during the offensive of the Armed Forces, - Lubinets

Russia intends to take Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to Crimea in order to try to hinder the advance of Ukrainian troops on the territory of the peninsula during a future counteroffensive.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

"Under the pretext of the threat of constant shelling, the FSB of the Russian Federation can implement a set of pre-planned measures to take Ukrainian children from the new TOT and regions bordering Russia to Crimea," he wrote.

Lubinets noted that the children are planned to be placed in camps and recreation centers on the peninsula for the summer period.

The purpose of the deportation of children by the Russians

Create conditions to reduce risks from an expected counteroffensive of the Armed Forces in the Crimean direction.

Discredit the Defense Forces and present Ukraine as a "terrorist country".

Yes, pro-Russian narratives are already spreading in the information environment, as if it was Ukraine that independently blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP. As an argument, the fact that the Russians controlled the hydroelectric power plant and that the explosion caused the most damage to the occupied cities is cited.

"That is, the actual abduction of Ukrainian children should have the appearance of a "rescue mission". At the same time, the FSB of the Russian Federation believes that it is necessary to locate military command points, nodal units, for example, missile or artillery units, and equipped places of concentration (withdrawal) of the Russian occupying forces, next to the children's places of rest. in the event of the Ukrainian military advancing deep into Crimea," Lubinets wrote.

The ombudsman noted that according to the Russian special services, the "neighborhood" of children near military facilities will not allow or significantly complicate the possibility of Ukrainian defenders to fire damage to the main units and control points of the occupiers, will significantly limit or slow down the pace of the advancement of the armed forces on the territory of Crimea. It can also allow, if necessary, to carry out provocations with mass casualties and discredit the Defense Forces before the world community.

Thus, the State Duma of the Russian Federation has already initiated a corresponding appeal to the government regarding the organization of the evacuation of children from regions bordering Ukraine to summer camps and other institutions on the territory of Crimea.

 Deportation of Ukrainian children

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has been mass-deporting Ukrainian children from the occupied territories. They are taken to Crimea, the Russian Federation, or Belarus allegedly for "rehabilitation" or rest in camps.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk even reported that the names and dates of birth of deported Ukrainian children are being changed in Russia.

It should be noted that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution recognizing the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia as genocide.

And in March, the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for the arrest of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova due to the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.
