The police began storming the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where monks and pilgrims are staying

Police surrounded three buildings of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where monks of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and believing pilgrims are located. According to information posted on the UOC Facebook page, the assault has begun, and locks have already been cut off in building 57.

"Right now, the 54th, 57th and 58th buildings of the Lavra are being stormed! <...> Not only pilgrims live in these buildings, but also part of the brotherhood of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra," the publication says.

We remind you that on August 10, the court recognized the legal termination of the agreement between the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve and the UOC. According to this decision, the monks are obliged to leave the territory of the monastery.
