The White House could not confirm the death of Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov. This was announced by the administration's press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, during a briefing.

"We have seen the reports and, of course, we know about the video. At the moment, I have nothing to confirm," said the administration representative, Karine Jean-Pierre, speaking about the footage of the Russian Defense Ministry, where Sokolov appears.

As we reported earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense released footage of a board meeting in which Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov allegedly participated.  It should be noted that yesterday the Ukrainian military announced the liquidation of the Russian admiral.
