Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander appears in new video

Today, Russian media published a new video with the live commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Sokolov. On the recording, Sokolov said that the fleet is "successfully fulfilling the tasks set by the command".

The video was allegedly filmed today during an award ceremony for the Chernomorets football team, which won a prize in the Russian Armed Forces championship.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed that Sokolov was killed as a result of a strike on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol.

It is also worth noting that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov did not confirm the death of the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Answering a direct question from a CNN host about whether Sokolov was alive, the minister said: "First of all, he is on our occupied territory, and his presence there is unacceptable. Therefore, if he is really dead, this is good news for all of us, and it shows that we continue to liberate our territory."

Earlier we reported that the White House could not confirm the death of Commander Sokolov.
