The EU wants to extend assistance programs for Ukrainian refugees until March 2025

The European Union is considering extending the support program for Ukrainian refugees until March 2025. According to current information, there are more than four million Ukrainian refugees in the EU, of whom about a million live in Germany, BILD reports.

The current program ends in six months, in March 2024. The issue of extension is being considered at the level of EU interior ministers, and the decision requires the consent of all. The German representative has already expressed support for extending the project until March 2025.

It is expected that the discussion of this issue will take place today.

The Admission Program allows Ukrainians to stay legally in the EU, obtain a residence permit without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures, be able to get a job, send their children to school, and obtain medical insurance.
