Russia loses more than 1,200 troops in a day, Ukraine says

Russia has lost another 1,230 troops over the past 24 hours, bringing its total personnel losses in Ukraine to about 1,324,690 since the start of the full-scale invasion, according to updated figures released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military said Russia’s cumulative combat losses from 25 February 2022 to 25 April 2026 also include equipment losses as well across multiple categories - 11,892 tanks, 24,458 armoured combat vehicles and 40,635 artillery systems.
Over the same period, Ukrainian forces also destroyed 1,753 multiple launch rocket systems and 1,353 air defense systems.
The report states that Russian aviation losses remain at 435 aircraft and 350 helicopters.
Meanwhile, losses in unmanned systems continue to rise, with Russia reportedly losing 1,257 operational-tactical drones in the last day alone, bringing the total to 255,862. Cruise missile losses remained unchanged at 4,549.
In addition, Russia has lost 91,422 vehicles and fuel tanks, including 166 in the past 24 hours, as well as 4,136 units of special equipment. Naval losses remained unchanged at 33 boats and one submarine.
