Ukraine says Russia lost 1,440 troops over past day

Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,440 casualties over the past 24 hours, bringing Moscow’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to about 1,382,870.

According to the latest figures released by the Ukrainian military, Russia has also lost significant amounts of military equipment since February 2022, including:

  • 12,020 tanks (+5 in the past day)

  • 24,753 armoured combat vehicles (+14)

  • 44,010 artillery systems (+57)

  • 1,868 multiple launch rocket systems (+3)

  • 1,419 air defence systems (+1)

  • 436 aircraft

  • 353 helicopters

  • 1,661 ground robotic systems (+13)

  • 349,165 operational-tactical drones (+2,132)

  • 4,733 cruise missiles

  • 33 boats and light-speed vessels

  • 2 submarines

  • 106,675 vehicles and fuel tankers (+401)

  • 4,288 units of special equipment (+1)
