Direct scheduled flights between Tbilisi and Shanghai will begin on 15 July, with China Eastern Airlines operating three services a week.
Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, according to the United Airports of Georgia.
China Eastern Airlines will become the third Chinese carrier to operate direct scheduled flights between Georgia and China.
“The new route will help strengthen tourism, business, trade and economic ties. Together with the visa-free regime, travel between the two countries will become even easier,” the United Airports of Georgia said.
