382 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Georgia, 313 people recovered

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 27,167 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 18,542 tests with antigen tests and 8,625 PCR tests.

Testing revealed 382 newly confirmed cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 276,067.

As for the positive rate, as of March 16, the daily rate of positive is 1.41%, for the last 14 days – 1.52%, and for 7 days – 1.34%.

In the last 24 hours, 313 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 269,006.

7 new deaths from coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,665 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 382 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 199 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 23, Imereti – 65, Kvemo Kartli – 13, Shida Kartli – 19, Guria – 13, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 13, Kakheti – 30, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 0, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 1, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 6.

Currently, there are 3,370 active cases of infection, of which: 1,405 people are treated in hospitals, including 716 in Tbilisi hospitals, 145 in Adjara, 254 in Imereti. At this stage, 268 people are seriously ill, including 126 in Tbilisi and Adjara. 19, in Imereti – 71. There are 80 people on artificial respiration, of which 53 in Tbilisi, 4 in Adjara, 11 in Imereti. 140 people are accommodated in clinical hotels, including 108 in Tbilisi and 26 in Adjara. 1,825 people are undergoing treatment for the virus in their homes.

224 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 88 in Tbilisi and 20 in Adjara.

A total of 23,677 people were transferred from the state border to quarantine areas from October 6 to March 16.

At this stage, 5,339 people are in self-isolation, including 2,617 in Tbilisi, 352 in Adjara and 728 in Imereti.
