5,359 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 50 937 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Testing revealed 5 359 confirmed cases of the virus in the last 24 hours.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 471 685. As for the positive rate, as of August 12, the daily rate of positive is 10.52%, for the last 14 days – 9.90% and for 7 days – 10.74%. 

 

In the last 24 hours, 2 726 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 415 146. In the last 24 hours, 42 new cases of coronavirus death have been reported. A total of 6 321 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread. 

 

Out of 5 359 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 2 187 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 813, Imereti – 698, Kvemo Kartli – 270, Shida Kartli – 307, Guria – 92, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 335, Kakheti – 372, Mtskheta- Mtianeti-148, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 102, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 35.
