5 579 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 52 580 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Testing revealed 5 579 newly confirmed cases of the virus in the last 24 hours.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 477 264. As of August 13, the daily rate of positive is 10.61%, for the last 14 days – 10.13% and for 7 days – 10.93%. In the last 24 hours, 1 867 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 417 013.

 

There have been 50 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

 

A total of 6 371 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread. Out of 5 579 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 2 355 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 746, Imereti – 667, Kvemo Kartli – 281, Shida Kartli – 345, Guria – 133, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 364, Kakheti – 418, Mtskheta- Mtianeti-125, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 104, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 41.
