Ukraine says Russia lost over 1,000 troops, 82 artillery systems in past day

Russia lost more than 1,000 troops and 82 artillery systems in the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff said on Sunday, releasing updated figures on Moscow’s battlefield losses since the start of the full-scale invasion.
According to the latest data, Russia has lost about 1,318,220 troops in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, including 1,070 casualties over the last day.
The Ukrainian military said Russia’s cumulative combat losses also include 11,882 tanks (+6), 24,420 armoured combat vehicles (+10), and 40,324 artillery systems (+82).
Additional losses reported over the past 24 hours include five multiple launch rocket systems, bringing the total to 1,748, and 2,019 operational-tactical drones, raising that total to 247,131.
Ukraine also reported that Russia has lost 1,349 air defence systems, 435 aircraft, 350 helicopters, and 4,549 cruise missiles since the beginning of the war.
In addition, Moscow’s forces have lost 90,397 vehicles and fuel tanks (+203), 4,131 pieces of special equipment (+2), 33 boats, and two submarines, according to the General Staff.
