A Turkish national wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice has been arrested in Georgia’s Adjara region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Saturday.

Officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department detained E.O., a Turkish citizen born in 2001, in the region’s central city of Batumi following investigative operations.

The Ministry said the suspect was wanted by Turkey on charges including the illegal acquisition and possession of ammunition, intentional bodily harm, and damage to property.

The arrested individual is currently subject to extradition procedures in accordance with Georgian law.
