Tbilisi City Hall has dismissed as false the claims that public transport will not operate in an extended mode during the festive season. The authorities clarified that public transport, including buses and the metro, will run until 03:00 on both New Year’s Eve and Christmas Eve.

In a statement, City Hall said “It is a lie that public transport will not operate in an extended mode on New Year’s Eve. As always, public transport in the capital will provide extended service. This includes both the metro and buses, which will operate until 03:00 on January 1.”

They also announced that on Christmas Eve, January 7, public transport services will be extended and free for passengers, running from midnight until 03:00.
