Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has congratulated Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.

In his congratulatory message, Vučić wished progress and prosperity to Georgia and its people and welcomed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and political dialogue between the two countries.

The Serbian president said he believed Serbia and Georgia would continue to deepen their traditionally friendly relations through joint efforts.

Vučić also described Kavelashvili’s recent visit to Serbia as an important contribution to the further development of bilateral ties and said he looked forward to his future visit to Georgia.
