US Embassy: Georgia among 8 partner nations selected for Phoenix Express 2026

Georgia has taken part in the international maritime exercise Phoenix Express 2026, according to information released by the US Embassy in Georgia on social media.

“Georgia is one of eight partner countries selected to participate in the prestigious exercise,” the Embassy said.

The Georgian Border Police reported that the international maritime drills were held over four days in Tunis, the capital of the Republic of Tunisia.

Phoenix Express is a multinational maritime exercise designed to strengthen combined warfighting readiness and lethality in maritime security operations by improving regional cooperation, maritime domain awareness, information-sharing practices, and tactical interdiction expertise.
