US Embassy expresses condolences over tragic deaths of five children in Georgia’s occupied Gali district

The United States Embassy has extended its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and the people of Georgia following the tragic deaths of five children in Saberio, a village in the Russian-occupied Gali district of Abkhazia region in Georgia.

A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of the morning on Sunday in a family home, claiming the lives of five minors.

The victims were at home with their grandmother, who survived the fire.
