Fire breaks out in Tbilisi’s Avchala district

A fire has broken out in the Zahesi area of Avchala, on the outskirts of the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi.

According to initial reports, the blaze started in dry grass near a cemetery.

Fire and rescue crews have been mobilised to the scene, and a helicopter has been deployed to assist in extinguishing the flames.
