Turkish citizen wanted by Interpol Red Notice detained in Georgia’s Batumi

Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a Turkish citizen in the country’s Black Sea resort city of Batumi.

The individual was wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice.

The Ministry said the convicted individual had been sought by Turkish authorities since November 2025 in connection with charges involving deprivation of liberty and threats.

Extradition procedures are currently underway in relation to the detained individual.
