The US State Secretary Antony Blinken has callen on the International community to “keep raising the costs and pressure on President Putin” for the Russian military to leave Ukraine, attending the Crimea Platform Summit on Tuesday.

“In my remarks to the Crimea Platform Summit, I urged the international community to keep raising the costs and pressure on President Putin and his enablers until all Russian troops leave Ukraine. Crimea is Ukraine. That was our position in 2014, and it remains in 2022.” – Blinken said.

Despite the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine back in February of this year,  the topic of occupied Crimea was brought up at the highest political level again, during the summit which was earlier initiated by the Ukrainian President.

The event was attended by representatives Jens Stoltenberg, head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Refat Chubarov, Josep Borrell, and the presidents of almost all EU and NATO member states.
