Charles Michel Arrives in Georgia

The President of the European Council Charles Michel arrived in Georgia today on July 18.
He was met at the Batumi Airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani and the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Carl Hartzell.

Charles Michel will attend an international conference in Batumi on July 19. The title of conference is ‘Georgia’s European Way.’

Michel will meet with President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and representatives of opposition parties.

Charles Michel visited Armenia and Azerbaijan before arriving in Georgia.

In parallel with Michel’s arrival, a rally of Georgian media representatives was held at the Batumi Airport, where photos of the late cameraman of TV Pirveli, Lekso Lashkarava, were displayed.
