Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a formal letter of congratulations to Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day, highlighting the growing friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations.

In the message, President Xi extended his "sincere congratulations and best wishes" to the Georgian people and praised the mutual respect and trust that underpin China–Georgia relations. He noted that in recent years, the partnership between the two countries has made significant progress, with deepening political ties and strengthened strategic cooperation.

"I attach great importance to China–Georgia relations and am ready to work with you to elevate our bilateral partnership to new heights," Xi wrote. He concluded by wishing President Kavelashvili good health and Georgia continued prosperity and happiness for its people.
