The United Kingdom will urgently allocate an additional €115 million to support Ukraine’s air defence systems, aiming to protect cities and critical infrastructure from ongoing strikes.
According to the UK Ministry of Defence, the new funding will be deployed rapidly to strengthen Ukraine’s air defences, including protection for frontline units and key national infrastructure.
Over the past two months, the UK has provided a total of £600 million in support for Ukraine’s air defence.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the support would continue despite ongoing attacks.
“As [Russian President Vladimir] Putin continues his appalling assaults in Ukraine, my message is clear: the United Kingdom’s support will not falter. I am determined to do everything possible to support a sovereign and free Ukraine for generations to come,” he said.
