Group of individuals attack citizens on strike in Tbilisi

A group of individuals attacked participants of a strike on Dolidze Street in Tbilisi, sparking outrage and raising concerns over the safety of demonstrators. Footage circulating online shows several people physically assaulting a protester, while reports indicate that eggs were also thrown at protesters from a nearby residential building.

The violence occurred during a three-hour nationwide strike organized under the slogan “Georgia is on strike!”. Beginning at 15:00, the strike saw participation from various sectors, including businesses, universities, and catering establishments. Many facilities closed their doors, with employees taking to the streets to express their discontent.
