US President Donald Trump has told Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze that he looks forward to strengthening cooperation between the two countries to advance “a safer, more prosperous and peaceful future,” the Georgian Government Administration said on Friday.
In a letter thanking Kobakhidze for his congratulations on the 250th anniversary of US independence, Trump said he appreciated the Georgian Prime Minister's message and highlighted the shared importance of sovereignty, security and long-term prosperity.
“By working together in support of sovereignty, security and lasting prosperity, we can achieve significant progress. I look forward to strengthening our cooperation so that together we can move towards a safer, more prosperous and peaceful future,” Trump wrote.
Trump also described Independence Day as a celebration of the founding of the United States and of “the enduring spirit of freedom, resilience and determination” that defines the American people.
