Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Tuesday said the country’s Air Defence Forces had  intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle over Odintsovo in the Moscow oblast.

According to Sobyanin’s statement on the Telegram channel, preliminary information indicates that there was no damage reported at the location where the debris fell. However, Sobyanin did not specify the exact area where the debris landed.

Earlier reports indicated that Vnokuvo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports in Moscow implemented restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft. Domodedovo Airport reported that six planes were redirected to alternative airfields, while Vnukovo Airport accepted planes but did not dispatch them. Additionally, there were reports of the implementation of the so-called plan “carpet.”

The Ministry of Defence of Russia announced on Tuesday morning that several drones were successfully shot down over the Bryansk region. Subsequent updates clarified that the drone was destroyed over the Kaluga region.

In recent months, there has been a series of drone attacks directed towards Moscow, primarily occurring during the night. The Russian government and military attribute these attacks to actions originating from the territory of Ukraine. However, the official stance from Kyiv does not offer any comments on these allegations.
