Elene Khoshtaria, a detained leader of the opposition Coalition for Change, on Monday urged citizens, activists, and fellow fighters not to face the system alone, emphasising the importance of truth and solidarity in the struggle against what she calls an oppressive regime.

“Faithfulness to truth will lead us to victory on this path. Therefore, if they claim ‘criminal’ on a banner, we must show that we do not obey their fabricated illegality,” Khoshtaria wrote.

She added that any compromise on truth, dignity, or freedom is unacceptable and highlighted the need for collective resistance. “All citizens, all activists, all fighters should know that we will not leave anyone alone against the system,” she said.

Khoshtaria was detained earlier today. The investigation against her is being conducted under Article 187 of the Criminal Code, which covers damage or destruction of property, specifically relating to the alleged vandalism of a campaign banner belonging to incumbent Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
