EU Official Borrell reaffirms commitment to Georgia’s sovereignty to FM Darchiashvili

EU High Representative Josep Borrell has reaffirmed the European Union’s ‘unwavering’ commitment to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during a meeting in Strasbourg on Wednesday.

 

Borrell recalled the EU’s support for Georgia in the wake of the current regional and geopolitical challenges and underlined the importance for the country to make ‘rapid progress’ on reform priorities, including the judiciary and the agreed constitutional reforms.

 

The EU official further noted the Union was ready to ‘step up’ its cooperation with Georgia.
