European Commission President urges member states to ‘quickly’ supply Ukraine with weapons

Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, has urged the member states to ‘quickly’ supply Ukraine with weapon systems.

“Ukraine has to get whatever it needs to defend itself and what it can handle,” she said.

Von der Leyen added it was the ‘only’ way Ukraine could ‘survive in its acute defensive battle against Russia.’
