Former PM of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia says that today’s municipal elections are ‘for renewal’ and are a choice between the past and the future.

Gakharia, who currently chairs the opposition For Georgia party, is running for Tbilisi mayor.

On the question of the possible second round of elections, Gakharia responded ‘I will be everywhere.’

Gakharia left the ruling party and quit the premiership back in February 2021.
