Former Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia has called on the Georgian Dream government to use a ‘historic chance’ and along with Ukraine apply for the membership of the EU in an accelerated manner.

The Ukrainian president applied for this short before, amid hostilities in his country.

Gakharia says that the majority of the Georgian people support the country’s membership of the EU and that Georgia must not lose the moment.

Georgia had plans to apply for EU membership by 2024.
