Georgia’s former PM Giorgi Gakharia has warned the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party ‘not to dare attacking’ public servants in law enforcement agencies.

He said that if the GD acts in this way, they will receive a ‘sharp response.’

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili expressed his suspicion yesterday that Gakharia, who served as PM and interior minister under GD, and Aleksandre Khojevanishvili, who quit the post of deputy head of Georgia’s State Security Service shortly after Gakharia’s resignation back in February this year, could be connected with recently leaked personal data on clerics and politicians.

Aleksandre Khojevanishvili is a brother of Gakharia’s For Georgia party member Giorgi Khojevanishvili.

For Georgia has demanded the creation of a parliamentary investigation commission into the leaked files case.
