Former head of Georgia’s military police Megia Kardava, who was extradited from Ukraine to Georgia on September 17 and is charged with 11 cases, says he has no plans to testify against someone.
He says that he is a ‘political prisoner’ and that his arrest is in the interests of Russia.
Kardava has also described ex-official under the United National Movement (UNM) government Gigi Ugulava as ‘corrupt.’
Kardava has been charged with abuse of authority, torture, sexual abuse, illegal imprisonment and other crimes while in office under the UNM.
